David,
How does a computer successfully dial up and connect with individuals if you have to go through an office that has a switchboard? There is a program which goes by the name "Gold-Calling." It does phone numbers using a computer as well. But, I do not see how such a software program can deal successfully with a switchboard which has a live operator.
I used to use an auto-dialer program. I had to actually get permission from a Georgia agency just to use it. Then, I could only use it during certain hours of the day. Plus, I had to have it linked to a "live" operator (answering service). Despite everything I did to comply with the approval of the state agency, I still got complaints because people just do not like being called by a computer - even when it is delivering an audio message in a real person's voice (in this case mine).
