What's Your Favorite Marketing Tool? |

My favorite marketing tool is the calendar! No, not to send to people (although that is nice) - I use the months observances as inspiration to find ways to creatively market my company. Here's what I mean...
Did you know???
Monday May 1st is Executive Coach Day. If you are a coach, why not host a “Spontaneous Open House or offer a Free Coaching Session to your Clients.”
Other observances in May include:
Clean Air Month – Add plants to your environment – not only is it healthy, according to the Society of American Florists Plants improve your emotional well-being.
International Business Image Improvement Month – Could your company use a Business Makeover?
National Scholarship Month – Create a Scholarship in your name or the name of Your company and create an essay contest to choose a scholarship recipient – great way to do good AND gain some publicity for your company.
Personal History Month – Think of ways to create memories for those you love, research your family tree, create a scrapbook.
Young Achiever’s Month – Know some great young achievers? Now’s the time to acknowledge them and thank them for all they do. Or host a contest to find out what the young achievers in your community are doing. How about a young inventors contest?
Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7-13 – Send apples (or flowers) to all the great teachers you know. It is also National Postcard Week - great time to redo your postcard marketing campaigns.
Work at Home Moms Week May 14-20– WAHM’S might send clients a note announcing the week – family and friends of WAHM’S can send a note of appreciation. It is a great day to send referrals to those wonderful WAHM’S too.
National Effectiveness Week May 15-19 – take a look at your goals and the progress you have achieved with them.
May 10th is Trust Your Intuition Day
May 12th is Receptionist's Day - What kind of things can you think of for the Gatekeepers of the World?
May 14th (U.S.) is Mother’s Day – send flowers :)
May 15th is International Day of Families – Time for a Reunion???
May 17th – World Telecommunications Day – Send someone a note in a bottle :)
Tiara Day is May 24th – I will be wearing mine to work that day
Memorial Day (U.S.) is May 29th – honor those who have served
And when all else fails May 13th is Blame Someone Else Day!
